The GVSU Mobile Applications and Services Lab (MASL) is pleased to announce the availability of GVSU Laker Mobile on the Google Android Market. GVSU Laker Mobile puts all things GVSU right into your pocket: Campus news, maps, tweets, web-cams, photos, videos, directory services and more! The application is also available on the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPod Touch, and the iPad. You can read more about the application in our earlier announcement. We’re looking forward to your feedback on the application, and also appreciate your help in spreading the word.
To install the application on your phone simply visit the Android Market from your phone and search for “GVSU”. Please note that the application is available on all Android phones running Android version 1.6 and more recent. There are still some 1.5 devices out there in the N. American market, so if the search does not turn up the app, you may be still running 1.5 or earlier. If you find yourself in this situation, please check with your service provide to see if there is an update available for your phone, or to find out when it will become available.
Congratulations especially to GVSU School of Computing graduate students Richard Zhuang and Salman Qureshi who made substantial contributions to this project.
